This is the common requirement of most casual players when re-adjusting their rackets. That is, of course, if they don't plan to re-tie the racket at all. Ignoring the strings is one of the main sins of everyday players. They think if it is not damaged, why should it be repaired, even if the playability has already exceeded its best date.

But what if you had the opportunity to string your rackets like a tour player? Have the opportunity to experience the same quality strings and installation that professionals like. The best part is that it won't cost you a penny.

This is the purpose of the Yonex String Tour. The company will hold 12 two-day events in various cities in North America and connect more than 1,000 rackets for casual players for free. It's okay to use Yonex-all frames are welcome. The goal is to let people understand the importance of rewinding, so that players are more familiar with the performance of Yonex strings in this process.

This is how it works: Yonex will set up a booth and threading area on site. A representative interviews you about your game and current line selection. Choose a recommended line from the current Yonex lineup and place it in your frame. Just for good measurement, the racket will also be re-squeezed.

Once your racket is ready, you can use the demo venue to test your new string settings and all new Yonex frames. If anything suits you, the local retailer will buy it on site.

So far, a pilot event has been held in Los Angeles in June, followed by two try-on events in Atlanta and Washington, DC in July. Future venues this month include Raleigh (8/10-11), Cincinnati (8/15) and New York (8/27).

If you are interested in knowing whether the Yonex String Tour will be held in your area, please check the event page on the Yonex website for the exact time and location.
