Director of Overton County Schools Donnie Holman issued the Director’s Report to Overton County Board of Education on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Actions taken by the school director are as follows:

•Granted the following leaves of absence: Edie Williams, effective August 2, 2022; Cathy Taylor, effective August 3, 2022; Rhonda Nelson, effective August 23 to September 6, 2022; and Paula Smith, effective August 26 to September 18, 2022.

•Transferred Brent Thrasher, effective July 1, 2022, to Technology Supervisor, as recommended by Director of Schools Donnie Holman.

•Transferred Vicky Phillips, effective July 1, 2022, to Instructor at Livingston Academy, as recommended by Principal Richard Melton.

•Transferred Haley Stover, effective August 5, 2022, to District Pre-K Instructor at Allons Elementary, as recommended by Special Education Supervisor Mechelle Nivens.

•Transferred Beth Loftis, effective August 8, 2022, to Special Education Assistant from general education assistant at Rickman Elementary, as recommended by Principal Julia Poston.

•Hired Darrian Barlow, effective August 15, 2022, as Instructor at Livingston Middle School, as recommended by Principal Doug Smith.

•Hired Brittany Hargis, effective August 15, 2022, as One on One Assistant at Livingston Middle School, as recommended by Principal Doug Smith.

•Hired Brooke Billett, effective August 17, 2022, as custodian at Livingston Academy, as recommended by Principal Richard Melton.

•Hired Lisa Henry and Lora Watson, effective August 9, 2022, as Teacher Consultants at Rickman Elementary, as recommended by Principal Julia Poston.

•Hired Brian Persinger, effective August 11, 2022 as Middle School Wrestling Coach, as recommended by Athletic Director Lesley Riddle.

•Hired Nate Kennard, effective August 25, 2022, as TN GEAR Up Success Coach at Livingston Academy, as recommended by ESSER/CTE/GEAR Up Director Teresa Johnson.

•Hired Kathy Sells, effective August 5, 2022, to fill Kadie Hogue’s leave of absence at A. H. Roberts Elementary, as recommended by Principal Brandon Cross.

•Hired Paula Smith, effective August 1, 2022, as Cafeteria Personnel (6 hrs) at Livingston Academy, as recommended by School Nutrition Director Debie Taylor.
