The actor and musician publicly stated that he wanted to keep his 12-year-old daughter innocent

Casey, the daughter of Machine Gun Kelly, has the support of her father.

The 31-year-old musician talked to Drew Barrymore on her talk show and painted her nails at the same time. He shared with his 12-year-old daughter Kathy a moment of pride for his father. He shared this with former Emma Cannon.

The Last Son star recounted an example when Casie's school called her father after she defended her father from bullying.

"I got a call and her school was like, your daughter had a relationship with this boy, and I thought,'What happened?' They were like,'That boy is saying bad things about you,'" Kelly said, and then Shrugged and pointed out that he was not angry with the situation.

"I thought,'Good job, don't do it again, but I love you very much,'" he recalled.

Elsewhere in the interview, Kelly spoke candidly to Barrymore about his love for Casey and how he hopes she will remain innocent as she ages.

"I just walked behind my daughter at the airport the other day. She walked like this. It was pure bounce. She was so excited about life, just like she was so young in her life," he said. "I have experienced so much in my life. I just pray to all the gods that exist, she will always keep this bounce, and no one will interfere with it."

The singer added that he hoped he "always stood up and watched her bounce."

"It's like I would accept any way of torturing her, if it can happen to me, so that she can stay in this state forever, because... it's worth seeing this. Her voice is so sweet and there is no Stained by something. The world must provide," he said.

Last week, the switchgrass actor's midnight appearance on the Kelly Clarkson Show publicized his close connection with Casey, sharing his advice on seeking new music from his daughter-including his own.

"I now trust her opinion more than my own opinion," he told the 39-year-old Clarkson. "For example, her finger is pressed against the pulse of a hot spot, or if I'm making a song and it's correct, she'll confirm it."

Kelly also admitted that his daughter was not afraid to tell him when his song "trash". The musician then told Clarkson that Casey was not only musically skilled, but also a volleyball player.

"I just took her to the volleyball trials," he told the former American Idol champion, and then humorously recalled how he misread the "recruitment documents" she took him to sign. "I looked at the contract and thought,'Casey, man, they will pay you $1,800 [playing the game],' and I took a closer look and it was like,'Oh, I have to pay $1,800. Yes. '"
